How To Make an Individual Cupcake Box

  Next week is Teacher Appreciation week, so why not make a cupcake for your child's teacher and present it to them in a sweet little box to thank them for all they do. Male or female...everyone loves cupcakes! Needing a little birthday gift for a co-worker or neighbor...these would be perfect.  These would also be cute for a child's birthday or baby shower and send them home with a yummy treat. Make these for  wedding favors and embellish in the bridal party colors and make white cupcakes, lightly dip the tops in melted white chocolate and them dip in shredded coconut ...gorgeous and yummy! The possibilities are endless.

Supplies:

Cardstock or double-sided paper cut, 10-1/2" square (base), 6-1/8" square (lid), and 

4-7/8" square (insert to hold cupcake)

3" circle cutter (lid)

2-1/2" circle cutter (insert)

Stampin' UP! Window sheets or you can use the 3M Write-on transparency film (you can find these where office supplies are sold)

Sticky Strip & Glue Dots

Assorted embellishments

 

Base of the box 10-1/2" x 10-1/2"

Step #1 : Score at 3-1/4",  rotate and score all 4 sides.    

(sorry, I shouldn't have used red, it's difficult to see the score lines)

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Step # 2: Cut on 4 score lines to where the scores intersect - 2 on each side.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Step #3: Adhere flaps to inside of box with Sticky Strip.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Lid 6-1/8" x 6-1/8"

Step #1: Score at 1",  rotate and score all 4 sides. Cut on 4 score lines (2 on each side) to where the scores intersect (same as box base).

Step #2: Cut 3" circle in center of lid.

Step #3: Cut 4" x 4 clear window sheet or 3M transparency sheets and adhere with glue dots on under side of lid.

Step #4: Adhere flaps to inside of box with Sticky Strip.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Insert 4-7/8" x 4-7/8"

Step #1: Score at 1/2"  rotate and score all 4 sides. Cut on 4 score lines (2 on each side) to where the scores intersect (same as box base & lid).

 

 

 

Step #2: Cut 2-1/2" circle in center of lid.

 

 

 

 

 

Step #3: Adhere flaps to inside of box with Sticky Strip and place inside box base to hold cupcake.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Embellish outside of box with ribbon, monogrammed tag, thank you tag, etc.
