Chubby Easter Bunny Baskets

 

 

Here's my Easter project this year.  I think they are darling and very easy to make, so I did a few in Spring colors. First,  I cut out a 7" oval in white CS and cut it in half to make the body for the front & back and attached to a 4" x 4" box.  To make the box, I started with an 8" x 8" piece of CS, scored at 2" on all 4 sides.

The bunny's ears, eyes, nose, feet & tail were made with various size punches. The handle measures 1-1/2" x 11". I used a decorative border punch on each side and attached a ribbon down the center. I filled these baskets with several pieces of chocolate, so they were a little heavy. I attached the handle to the basket with a small amount of sticky strip and a brad on each side.

Sponge Bob Punch Art

I'm back from my break. School is out....summer is here and we've been hanging at the pool, but I've spent this weekend catching up on some projects. Today's card is Sponge Bob and isn't he cute! My niece's little boy is having a birthday soon and I thought he'd like this. Happy early birthday Christopher!

Here's what I used:

• Bigz Clear Scallop Square

• Card Stock : Yo Yo Yellow, Certainly Celery, Basic Black, Whisper White, Real Red & Brilliant Blue
  
• Punches: Large Oval, 1-1/4", 1", 1/2", 1/8", Heart to Heart &  Horizontal Slot
• Ink: Certainly Celery & Bashful Blue
• White Gel Pen

Carrot Box

Here's my little box shaped like a carrot filled with Easter candy. The box is so easy.

• 4-1/4" x 11" Pumpkin Pie Card Stock
• 10" piece of Certainly Celery Ribbon
• Sticky Strip

Turn CS in landscape position and score at 5-1/2":

Turn CS to portrait position and measure 2-1/8" & mark with a pencil. Repeat on opposite side:

Line up 5-1/2" score line and pencil mark and score:

 

Line up pencil mark and 5-1/2" score line on opposite side and score. Then repeat the last two steps on opposite end of CS:

Use bone folder on score lines and it should look like this:

Apply stick strip to the following areas:

Attach ribbon:

Fill with candy:

Fold top over and adhere.

Sponge edges with pumpkin Pie Classic Ink and embellish:

Little Leprechaun

Here's my little leprechauns. I used the  Tag Punch (hat), Word Window Punch (hat), Scallop Circle Punch (hair), 1-3/8" (face), 1/2" Circle Punch (nose), 5 Petal Punch (mustache) and 1/4" Circle Punch (eyes). This was not my original idea. I saw these on Splitcoast a couple weeks ago and recreated from memory, so I don't know who to give credit to.

You can print 12 poems on one sheet of 8-1/2" x 11" card stock using font BacktalkSans BTN (10). Punched them with the Scallop Circle punch and attached to the back of a chocolate, gold coin using a glue dot.

Sweetheart Love Bug

 

I was trying to figure out what to make for my sons class for Valentine's Day that would be easy and inexpensive.  I bought these packs of Sweetheart candies and wrapped it in a 6-1/2" x 3-1/2" piece of Whisper White card stock.  I didn't score it first, just wrapped it around the box and used my bone folder on the creases to give them a crisp edge and adhered with snail.

For the Lovebug:

Body:    Wide Oval punch in Real Red CS

Head:    1-3/8" circle punch in Pretty In Pink CS

Nose:     1-4" circle pinch Real Red CS

Eyes:     1/8" circle punch Whisper White CS (pupils & mouth - black Stampin Write Marker)

Antennas:    Heart To Heart punch Pretty In Pink CS (only used the smallest of the 3 hearts) and Horizontal Slot punch using Whisper White CS

Legs & Feet :    Horizontal Slot punch using Whisper White CS and 1-4" circle punch Orchid Opulence CS

Tail:    1-4" circle punch Orchid Opulence CS

Hearts on Body: Heart To Heart punch (smallest of the 3 hearts) Orchid Opulence CS

My son just walked in my craft room, saw these love bugs I was making  and looked a little disappointed that I wasn't sending chocolate to school with him this year. Oh well, at least he tells me now before I make 20 of these: ) So I tell him, no worries, I'll figure something else out.

Valentine Treat Pail

I found this pail in the dollar bins at Target and fell in love with the frog. Filled the pail with Hershey Kisses in a Medium Cello bag, tied with Real Red Grosgrain Ribbon, Stamped "Happy Valentines Day" (Teeny Tiny Wishes ), punched with Word Window Punch and layered onto Real Red Cardstock using the Modern Label Punch. The DSP used on the card is from the new Occasions Mini and called Sending Love Specialty (117153)...gorgeous paper. Each sheet has a glittery design on one side.

Here's how I made the frog for my card:

Glorious Green Card Stock:

Head - Wide Oval Punch (112082)

Body - 1-3/4 Circle Punch (112004)

Legs -Small Oval Punch (107304)

Sponged edges in coordinating ink.

Green Galore Card Stock:Chest - Large Oval Punch (107305)

Sponged edges in coordinating ink.

Eyes - in Whisper White card Stock 1/2" Circle Punch (104390) & Basic Black Card Stock 1/4" Circle Punch

Heart - in Real Red Card Stock Small Heart Punch (New Occasions Mini Catalog 117193)

Crown - Only Orange Card Stock and using 1 flower from the Boho Blossoms Punch (110711) and added 3 adhesive crystals to the top points.

Nose & Mouth - Basic Black Stampin' Write marker

Happy 3rd Birthday Christopher!

It's my nephew's birthday and he loves trains.  I have no train stamps and he's such a little "cutie" , I just had to make him a train card. I have a lot of punches, so I thought I could make him one using those....harder than I thought and I'm not sure if it looks much like a train : ) I hope he likes it.
